››Information on our new secretary
Just a little note to introduce myself to the members of the International Auster Club and the Auster Club Heritage Group. You may or may not know that i have taken over as the hon secretary of our club. My contact details are in the committee contacts area. First of all may I take the time to thank John Powell –Tuck for all his hard work over the past years as the secretary of our club, I suspect I will find out just how much time it takes to keep the correspondence in order.
So very quickly, and in no particular order.
My name is Peter Gill, I am a 61 year old, who is lucky enough to be paid for his number one hobby, flying aircraft, albeit part time now. I married my wife Ann 36 years ago and we have two grown up children.
Several hobbies including golf, scuba diving and with no surprises here, flying light aircraft..
Without a doubt I would qualify as a long-term aviation buff (Anorak) having soloed with the A.T.C. at 16 and since that time have qualified to fly Gliders, Sea-planes , Helicopters and lots of different Aircraft .
I have two Auster Aircraft which you will have seen around.

During this year I have been to many different fly-ins and have had a great time meeting lots of friendly people and I am looking forward to meeting many of the Auster community.
So with the two aircraft pictures and my picture you should recognise me around the country, please come over and introduce yourself.
Lastly if I or any of the committee members can help with queries and advice on Auster matters please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Keep the Austers flying.
